These Terms & Conditions form a legally binding agreement between you and Taskyro Pty Ltd (ACN: 693 116 344) when you use the Taskyro mobile app, website, or services. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must stop using Taskyro immediately.
1. What Taskyro Is (and Isn’t)
1.1 What we provide
Taskyro is an online marketplace that allows:
- Clients to post tasks and hire help.
- Partners to make offers and complete tasks.
- Secure, Stripe-powered payments.
- Tools for communication, cancellations, payouts, and dispute handling.
1.2 What we do NOT provide
Taskyro is not:
- An employer of partners.
- A contracting party between client and partner.
- Responsible for task quality or outcomes.
- Responsible for verifying licences, qualifications, ABNs, or insurance.
All agreements are made directly between clients and partners. Taskyro is a facilitator only.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
2.1 Minimum Age
You must be:
- 16+ to use the platform.
- 18+ for certain categories requiring licensing or adult presence.
- Under 18 requires parent/guardian consent.
2.2 Accurate Information
You must provide:
- Your real name.
- A valid email and Australian mobile number.
- Accurate profile information, and update it if your details change.
2.3 Partner ABN Requirements
If you operate as a partner:
- You must supply a valid Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Only one Taskyro account per ABN is allowed.
False, shared, or duplicated ABNs may lead to suspension.
2.4 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Anything done using your account.
- Keeping your login credentials private.
- Reporting unauthorised access immediately.
3. User Conduct & Platform Safety
3.1 General Responsibilities
All users must:
- Follow these Terms and the Community Guidelines.
- Follow all applicable Australian laws.
- Treat others respectfully and provide accurate information.
- Avoid illegal, unsafe, or inappropriate tasks.
3.2 Prohibited Behaviour
You must NOT:
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate.
- Post illegal or unsafe tasks.
- Circumvent Taskyro payments (no off-platform payments).
- Upload harmful content (malware, spam, explicit material).
- Impersonate another person or business.
3.3 Enforcement
Taskyro may take action including warnings, content removal, feature restriction, temporary suspension, or permanent ban.
Severe misconduct (fraud, violence, hate speech, identity misuse, platform bypassing) may result in instant termination and referral to law enforcement.
4. Posting Tasks & Making Offers
4.1 Client Responsibilities
Clients must:
- Provide accurate descriptions of the work required.
- Ensure the task is lawful and safe.
- Be clear about timings, location, and access requirements.
4.2 Partner Responsibilities
Partners must:
- Only perform tasks they are licensed, trained, or qualified to do.
- Bring their own tools and equipment.
- Honour the agreed pricing and deliver work professionally.
- Maintain their own ABN and tax obligations.
5. Pricing, Fees & Payments
All payments are processed securely via Stripe in AUD.
5.1 Agreed Price
The Agreed Price is the full amount a partner offers and a client accepts. It includes: Labour, Time, Travel, Tools, and any other expected costs.
5.2 Client Fees
Clients pay an 8% service fee, with a minimum of $3.99 and maximum of $22.99 (all inclusive). This fee is shown upfront before confirming a partner.
5.3 Partner Fees
Partners pay:
- A flat platform fee (e.g., 10–12%), excluding GST.
- The fee is deducted automatically when the client releases payment.
Partner Rewards: Completing 15 tasks in a calendar month reduces their next 2 payout fees to 75% of the standard fee.
5.4 Payment Process
- Client payment is authorised when they accept an offer and held securely by Stripe.
- Money is held until the client marks the task as complete.
- No cash payments. No off-platform arrangements.
6. Cancellations
6.1 Standard Cancellation Fee
Once a task is assigned, cancelling may trigger a fee. The base cancellation fee is 15% of the Agreed Price.
6.2 Higher Cancellation Fees
A higher fee may apply if:
- Cancellation is last-minute.
- Materials have already been purchased.
- The partner has already travelled.
- The client cancels after work has begun.
In severe cases, charges may reach up to the full Agreed Price.
6.3 Waiver of Fees
Cancellation fees may be reduced or waived for verified emergencies (e.g., medical, accidents, natural disasters, family emergencies). Proof may be required.
7. Disputes
7.1 When Disputes Occur
A dispute may be raised when:
- A client believes work is incomplete or poor quality.
- A partner believes they completed work but were not paid.
7.2 Evidence Required
Both parties must provide evidence, which may include: Photos, Videos, Screenshots, Receipts/Invoices, and Chat logs.
7.3 Payment Freeze
During a dispute, Stripe holds the funds, and no withdrawals are allowed until resolved.
7.4 Resolution Steps
Taskyro will review evidence, assess fairness and communication, and aim to resolve the issue within 2–3 business days.
7.5 Possible Outcomes
Outcomes may include a full or partial refund to the client, full or split payment to the partner, and/or account warnings or suspension.
Decisions apply only to Taskyro activity. Users may pursue legal rights independently outside the platform.
8. Intellectual Property
- Taskyro owns the branding, platform, and software.
- Users own the content they upload.
- By uploading content, users grant Taskyro a non-exclusive license to use it to operate and improve the platform.
9. Insurance
- Taskyro is not an insurer.
- Partners are responsible for maintaining their own insurance (public liability, professional indemnity, etc.).
- Clients should ensure their own insurance covers tasks performed on their property.
Taskyro does not cover loss, theft, injury, or damage arising from the performance of a task.
10. Suspension & Termination
Taskyro may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Breaches of these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
- Repeated cancellations or high-risk behaviour.
- Fraud or unsafe conduct.
- ABN or identity violations.
Users may request account deletion anytime by contacting support.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. We will update the “Last updated” date and may notify you via email or the app.
Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of NSW courts.
